Jachtsegler Michael Allhoff (Jg. 1964) startete Regatta-Segeln in seiner Jugend in der Jollenklasse “Flying Junior”. Das regnerische Wetter in Deutschland trieb ihn auf´s weite Meer – mit dem historischen Gaffelschoner “SY Our Svanen” 3.200 Seemeilen über den Atlantik von Rio de Janeiro (Brasilien) nach Cape Town (Südafrika), mit der Ketch “SY Regina Maris” von Buenos Aires gen Kap Horn oder mit einem Katamaran in den Cayos de Cuba und als Skipper auf den Balearen, vor der Costa Smeralda von Sardinien, den Kanaren und der Costa Blanca.
Geboren 1964 in Deutschland, begleitet mich die Leidenschaft für´s Segeln seit meiner Jugend – als Regattasegler im „Flying Junior“. Im Laufe der Jahre habe ich diese Passion zu meinem zweiten Beruf gemacht: Als professioneller Skipper führe ich heute Segelyachten sicher und souverän im Mittelmeer, der Karibik und über den Atlantik.
Mit über 22.000 Seemeilen im Kielwasser verbinde ich nautische Kompetenz, ruhige Führung der Crew und echte Liebe zur Seefahrt. Ich habe über 60 Chartertörns realisiert, vornehmlich auf den Balearen und Sardinien, mit über 500 höchstzufriedenen Segelgästen an Bord. Und kenne alle gängigen Jachtmodelle, darunter Lagoon 45, Bali 4.5, Elan Impression 50, Nautitech 44, Baltic 60, Fountaine Pajot 45, Neel 43, Leopard 42, Dufour 530, Bavaria 45, Beneteau Oceanis 46.1 und Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 440.
Nach über 60 Chartertörns auf den Balearen und vor Sardinien kenne ich dort die schönsten Buchten sowie besten Routen und touristischen Destinationen sehr, sehr gut. Ich spreche neben Deutsch und Englisch auch perfekt Spanisch, das erleichtert die Kommunikation vor Ort.
Als Segler, Journalist und Autor habe ich über 50 Hochsee-Regatten (Position Großsegel) gemacht, davon über die Hälfte auf dem Podium (1. bis 3. Platz). Gerne gebe ich Dir Praxistrainings im Segeln (Anlegen, Ablegen, MOB Manöver, Wenden und Halsen, Schwerwetter-Segeln). Oder überführe Dein Boot von A nach B – im Mittelmeer, auf dem Nordatlantik oder über den großen Teich.

Michael Allhoff (born 1964) started regatta sailing in his youth in the dinghy class Flying Junior. The rainy weather in Germany drove him to the open sea – with the historic barquentine “SY Our Svanen” (now sailing under the name “Southern Swan in Sydney, Australia) 3,200 nautical miles across the Atlantic from Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) to Cape Town (South Africa), with the ketch “SY Regina Maris” from Buenos Aires to Cape Horn or with catamarans at sea in the islands of Cayos Jardines del Mar in Cuba, the Balearic islands or Sardegna. Today, the journalist and author sails on board offshore regattas off the coast of Torrevieja.
As sailor, journalist and author, I have participated in about 50 ocean regattas (position: mainsail) over the past ten years, more than half of them on the podium (1st to 3rd place). I am glad to give you practical training in sailing. We practice maneuvers such as cast-offs and moorings even in strong crosswinds in harbor, man overboard, fast tacks & gybes, courses high on the wind, etc.

With over 30 years of sailing experience, Mr. Allhoff executed a demanding delivery voyage of over 600 nautical miles across the Mediterranean in just 4.5 days — completing the trip two days ahead of schedule. This efficient passage included three night watches and just one short stopover in Formentera and required navigating through the busy and challenging Strait of Gibraltar, one of the world’s most trafficked waterways. Additionally, recent orca activity in the region posed a serious risk to sailing vessels, which Mr. Allhoff expertly mitigated through careful routing and vigilance.
The vessel arrived in pristine condition, which allowed us to proceed immediately with scheduled sailmaker adjustments and deep cleaning, ensuring the catamaran was fully prepared for its first charter at the end of the same week. His fast and secure delivery was crucial to our operational timeline and helped avoid costly delays.
Beyond his exceptional maritime skill, Mr. Allhoff also demonstrated excellent leadership and care for his co-skipper and two deckhands, ensuring the crew remained safe, coordinated, and well-supported throughout the passage.

Mai 2024, Segeltörn mit Bali Catsmart und unserem Skipper Michael Allhoff im Süden Mallorca‘s. Michael ist ein sehr routinierter und souveräner Skipper. Er strahlt viel Ruhe aus, auch während der Anker- und Anlegemanöver, und er kann auch weniger erfahrenen Mitseglern die Manöver im Vorfeld sehr gut erklären, so dass diese ihre zugeteilten Aufgaben beim Manöver mit Bravour leisten konnten. Michael hat es aber nie versäumt, die Arbeiten anderer vor den Manövern erst zu kontrollieren. In letzter Konsequenz ist er auch in der Lage den Kat alleine zu manövrieren, was ein großes Maß an Sicherheit vermittelt. Er hatte auch stets ein offenes Ohr für jeden einzelnen Teilnehmer und hat die teilweise unterschiedlichen Wünsche der Crewmitglieder sehr gut in einen harmonischen Reiseverlauf integriert. Den Reiseverlauf konnten wir zwar als Crew selbst festlegen, waren aber auch froh um die Tipps und Hinweise von Michael, so dass letztendlich keine Disharmonie hinsichtlich der Route aufkam. Natürlich haben wir auch von seinen sehr guten Ortskenntnissen profitiert, die uns in paradiesische Buchten gebracht haben. Es war ein sehr gelungener Törn. Zum Schluss noch eine Anmerkung meinerseits: Ich habe schon sehr viele Anlegemanöver auf zahlreichen Törns erlebt, aber noch nie ein so tolles, wie das von Michael, und das mit Kat, bei der Rückkehr in den Hafen Palmas.
